  Mecca Cafe is where I have my morning coffee. It is the oldest coffee shop in Lismore. The retro vintage decor is a must see. The coffee is good and the meals are very well priced for someone on a budget. And I love the daily newspapers that are there for customers to read. So many coffee shops have one major newspaper expecting it to be shared amongst 30 odd customers. This is never an issue at The Mecca. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I once lost my phone elsewhere in town and they allowed me to use their phone til mine was located. Another time I had left my wallet behind - not a problem and I was able to fix them up next time. They dont have to do this but in doing so it makes my experience so much better.

  It was ok, service was slow, but the food was reasonable, and I love a place with booths!

  Good old style diner fare, wether that be the classic fry up for brekky, mega salad or a steak sandwhich and chips for lunch. Bonus for (oddly miniature) booth seats and sunny outdoor eating options. If there's a better big brekky in Lismore I'd like to know about it. Not my first visit, nor will it be my last.
